Chap Goh Meh ♥ 17/02/2011

Originally celebrated by the Hokkien clans in Malaysia, Chap Goh Meh is the final day of the Chinese New Year. Chinese families take this opportunity to celebrate one last time with feasts, prayers, and Chinese opera performances.

But this year, is kinda special for me because i had a great dinner with my friends instead of my family. I have to work during Chap Goh Meh, so my friends who are free go to get all the ingredient that we needed for our steamboat dinner ^~^

We went to Jess house, a little help with the ingredient stuff,prepare all the things... then we go for exercise at 9pm ^^ although is a little too late, but we enjoyed it. After a late swim, of coz v all starving badly xD hahaha..... And v enjoy our dinner very much lol~ ^^

they hv also bought me a mocha chocolaty cake as well to celebrate my buffdaeeeeeeee ^^weeeeeeeeeeeeeee............. really appreciated for their kind hearted, thanks to Jess,Daniel,Sharon,Jackco and Chin Tat

my family been busy preparing all these stuff

because

ceremony of praying and serving the food for god

will held on 12am sharp

That's mean

Hokkien's Big Day

knowed as 年初九 “天公诞 ”

(the 9th day of CNY)

God Festival ceremony

is the most important

Hokkien's New Year Spring Festival

activities

Hokkien people will ready some food

offering for the god

such as

(Roast Pig, Pineapple, Red Turtle Cakes, Steamed Sponge Cake,Fruits)

when 12am sharp

we started to pray

After the ceremony,which mean our supper time has come ^^

We will take all the food back to the dining room & have it together

Yummy Yummy food for supper ♥

I love this day very much,

because i enjoy the moment being with all the family members

having fun, chit-chatting, eating together

'拜天公诞时，是从大年初八深夜开始，家家户户门前便会搭起了祭坛，摆放各种祭品，全家大小一起拜天公。迎接天公诞降临，是最热闹的一刻，“鞭炮响不停，烟花满天飞”，一直持续到初九凌晨。福建人拜天公，除了感恩外，也祈求天公在新的一年里，赐福给全家人，让合家大大小小，平平安安，步步高升。

Yes, but best if I can stay there longer until night time

when all the lanterns light up

for sure very nice

anyway, glad that my friend Cannie and her family

bring me along with them

beside that, they bring me to Telok Gong eat Seafood too
